Vicksburg Real Estate
Established in 1872, the Village of Vicksburg is a small town community that is perfect for enjoying the many activities available throughout the year or for a relaxing escape from the city.
Vicksburg plays host to many events throughout the year. From the Chili Cook Off in the winter, the Hearty Hustle in the spring, and the Vicksburg Old Car Festival and B & B in the summer (just to name a few), there is always something going on in Vicksburg!
Nestled along the shores of beautiful Sunset Lake, Vicksburg has captured the charm of a 19th century village. With turn of the century street lighting and tree-lined inlaid brick sidewalks, downtown Vicksburg has become the center of activity for Southern Kalamazoo County.
Along with the many shops and restaurants, visitors and residents can enjoy the plentiful parks and nature walkways, all within a short distance from the downtown center. Located just minutes south of Kalamazoo and East of US 131, Vicksburg residents are able to enjoy the economic opportunities of the nearby city, while still being able to come home to a community with a small town feel.
The village is home to just over 2,300 residents and upholds an excellent public education system – just one more great feature to add icing to the cake!
